I confused

over the voting system used in the Bedford Mayoral Election.
By the way, WELL DONE DAVE :-)
Was it AV with two rounds?
Or SV?

If it's like the mayoral election in Mansfield, it's AV. You get two columns, you mark a cross in column 1 for your first preference, and a cross in column 2 for your second preference. If you write in numbers, you've spoiled your paper.

At the count stage, they count all the first preferences. If someone gets 50% +1 vote, they win. If not, the top two go through and the second preferences of all the other candidates are distributed.
